Sometimes I think I should just call this a food blog. I love food–everything about it: the aroma, the flavors, the textures in my mouth. Just consider yourself lucky that we had guests for supper tonight! Otherwise you’d be looking at photos of every course. As it is I’m only sharing dessert. 🙂
Mini Pumpkin Pies. And a flour-less Chocolate Torte.
Ha-Ha! So the story is that I’ve almost knit this sweater twice because I was almost finished with it the first time when I realized that the colors were striping and uneven due to the hand-dyed yarn. I then tore it all out, sorted the yarn into dark and light balls–and then knit it all over again. I love how it turned out though!

I don’t usually worry about desserts as I figure I’m better off without them since I’ve started having problems with gluten, or wheat. But, I saw a recipe on FB that I just had to check out.
As it turns out–I really liked them! Garbanzo beans, peanut butter, vanilla, baking powder, honey or agave, and chocolate chips.
Really! They were delicious!

This week has seemed full and eventful and its only Wednesday night!
The photos are a collage of my days….the creek I ran along on Tuesday in Port Angeles, two little girls at their brothers’ basketball game reflecting the varied heritage of this area, and a new baby that made her arrival today in Forks! I won’t say more because she doesn’t have a name yet and because I want to leave the big announcement to her parents.
All this and still another basketball game tomorrow and then it’s on to Chimacum and Port Townsend on Friday!

I’m needing some honest input from “friendly” sources. Some folks have told me that my straight “do” is too stern looking but….I just feel messy and weird looking with my hair curly. Please take half a second and give me your honest opinion. Both ways are fast and easy. I think I need to retrain my eyes! Ha-Ha! 🙂
We ARE expecting a human baby to arrive in the next couple of weeks but in the meanwhile we got to meet the cutest little fellow last night. His name is Cooper and he is a 10 week old chocolate lab pup that some of our friends in Joyce have just adopted. Is he ever cute! And active! What a smart little handful he is. I look forward to watching his growth and learning development this spring.
